Expect the models to show up during mid-model year, to give sales a boost! |
MDS for 2006 on 5.7L HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8: Look for all Dodge 5.7L HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8s to feature MDS (Multiple Displacement System) for the 2006 model year, for improved MPG. |

2006 Dodge Charger SRT-8 and Chrysler 300C SRT-8 models: According to wardsauto.com, there will be no Magnum SRT-8, however I still hear there will be. However expect the 300C SRT-8 to debut this winter at one of the premier auto shows, slated for 2006 model year and relased in early 2005. The Charger SRT-8 will debut two months after the Charger is released for sale to the public. Both the Charger SRT-8 and 300C SRT-8 models will have the new 6.1L HEMI V-8, backed w/ a six-speed manual transmission. See my link below to view pictures of the actual 300C SRT-8 Test Mules! |
Another Mercedes based Dodge Van?: This picture of a car hauler over in Germany towing some Mercedes Benz Viano vans, had spy photo written all over it. One of the vans on the hauler, shows a Dodge crosshair trademarked grille, and is tried to be covered up by a bra. |
Dodge Magnum Police Enforcer: Starting mid-2005, Dodge will offer a Dodge Magnum Police Enforcer package using the 250 horsepower 3.5L V-6 SXT model for the basis of the package. For 2006 Dodge will offer the Enforcer (SXT model) w/ the optional RT's 5.7L HEMI V-8 pumping out 340 horsepower! |
2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8?: Here is a picture of a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee test mule, however something is different about this Jeep. NOTE: the performance rims, lowered suspension, and performance tires. Rumors a few years ago lead to talk about a performance based Grand Cherokee. Maybe it could be 6.1L HEMI V-8 powered, stay tuned for more. |
2006 Jeep Commander: Here is a spy photo of the upcoming Jeep Commander, which should debut for the 2006 model year. While many people believe the Commander to be just an extended wheelbase 2005+ Jeep Grand Cherokee, one thing is very strange about this photo. NOTE the rack of the wheelshield, looks about the same rack, as the windsheild on the 2004 Jeep Rescue concept from the North American International Auto Show. |

2005 Dodge Neon and SRT-4: New for the final year of production for the current Neon platform, the Neon SRT-4 and very limited number of Neon SXT models will recieve the color Orange Blast (PVK). You might remember this color from the 2002 Dodge Razor concept car. Orange Blast replaces Electric Blue, which was on the Neon SRT-4 in 2004. |
2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10: The 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 will also recieve a new orange scheme. The color is called "Copperhead Orange" (PVR). The color is similar to the color on the 1998 Dodge Copperhead Concept car, pictured above. |
Another little Dodge Motorsports tid-bit, is that Dodge has sent in a car for the NHRA to approve for their Pro Stock program. The car should debut next year. |
